4 mile jaunt from centre of Belper across river and back through historic Milford.

Walk down to pedestrian crossing on A6 and turn left past Babington hospital and down Goods Yard then cross the river to sewage works and down steps.
Turn right and follow the path to the access road then up to Chevin Road and turn left to Milford (being careful due to traffic).
Just after first set of houses, look for footpath off to the right (Jackson’s Lane). Take this steep up hill through the trees and then join the Chevin path and turn left.
Follow track then Sunny Hill road down to Milford and jitty in front of houses to A6.
Cross road at pedestrian crossing and turn left and over bridge. Turn left at King William pub and after play area, take the sharp right footpath up hill through woods all the way to the top passing various gardens and allotments.
Emerge on Bridge View, turn left and follow road to Shaw Lane heading down back towards A6 passing the listed cottages and their continuous route exploring the curious and unique jittys around Hopping Hill/ East Terrace as you wish.
Re-join the A6 and walk on the pavement taking Becksitch Lane off and up to your right. Follow the road to eventually re-join Holbrook Road and Gibfield Lane and turn left to return to start.
